JUST Capital is an independent nonprofit organization that believes business and capitalism can and must be a positive force for change on the greatest social, environmental, and economic challenges of our time. JUST Capital seeks graduate students to support its research team through a nine-week internship program. Work will include the support of senior analysts, who are developing datasets and subject matter expertise in support of our mission.
Candidates should have interest in pursuing data-oriented research in at least one of the following areas:
Human capital management (including pay and benefits) / employee relations
Customer / consumer relations, including products
Human rights and community engagement performance
Traditional industry analysis

Strong fundamental research skills, including writing and following methodologies and data-collection protocols, and an interest in collecting and utilizing data

Excellent time management skills, reliability, and ability to multitask and prioritize workloads
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Integrity, discretion, and good judgment
Proficiency in general computer skills, MS Office (Powerpoint, Excel, and Word) and G Suite (Google Sheets and Google Docs). Familiarity with programming languages (SQL, R, Python, etc.) or Bloomberg is a plus.
This summer internship is open to graduate students who demonstrate an interest in JUST Capital’s mission via coursework or extracurricular activity.
Applicants must reside in the metro New York or tri-state area during the course of the internship (New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut).
Ideally interns will be available early in May, or by the end of May at the latest, and be able to work full-time for at least nine weeks over the course of the summer.
Candidates must be available to work 5 days per week during regular business hours (9am-5:30pm) in JUST Capital’s office in Manhattan.
Compensation is $16/hour, and JUST Capital is willing to provide academic credit for this role.
Hired interns will need to provide their own laptops.
