We’re looking for a first-rate Senior UX Researcher, Quant Focus to join the Research & Insights team as we scale nationally and evolve our business model into something highly differentiated from old insurance. We need a UX Researcher with a strong quantitative skill set, who is also interested and experienced in qualitative research. The ideal candidate will also be interested in design research and everything else that goes into launching a new service, app, and brand.
The team and the broader product/CX team consists of only a few handfuls of people, so your role matters. A lot. Customer insights are at the core of everything we do. You’ll be one of two researchers conducting research to help our product and CX teams build our business and the best possible customer experience.
Have a passion for understanding people, their behaviors, attitudes, and motivations

Can run and analyze any quant study imaginable and love digging into the numbers to see what they say
Have strong analysis skills and make the connections no one else sees

Are both creative and analytical and understand the value of balancing qual with quant

Skills & background:
5+ years of quantitative research supporting product development
A graduate degree in Cognitive or Experimental Psychology, Human-computer Interaction (HCI), Economics, Statistics or similar
Deep understanding of the ins and outs of different research tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Usertesting.com, Dscout) and experience with data analytics languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
Survey design expertise including techniques to help avoid psychological bias and survey fatigue
Experience identifying research approaches and conducting research that helps designers make product design decisions
Solid statistical analysis skills and understanding of sample size determination, standard deviation, statistical significance, hypothesis testing, A/B testing and data cleansing
Track record of collaborating with product and cross disciplinary teams towards a common goal
Effective verbal and written communication style distilling complex multi-method research reports into understandable, compelling, and actionable insights
